Amnah Ajmal is the former Executive Vice President, Market Development, EEMEA for Mastercard. In this role, she led the P&L across multiple business verticals including merchants, governments, fintech’s, Crypto, BNPL and digital players across 80 markets. She built a billion $ + fastest growing
business for the company globally. In addition, she also headed the strategy, pricing, analytics and M&A function. She led the largest M&A deals for the company including Network International, MTN & Airtel Mobile Money. Prior to this role she led the North America product & innovation organization.
Amnah became the youngest wealth and retail bank CEO for Standard Chartered Malaysia where she led the transition of the Malaysia retail bank franchise into a digital bank. Prior to that, she was responsible for retail banking strategy for Indonesia, Malaysia & Taiwan in a global role based out of Singapore. Before joining Standard Chartered, Amnah held several leadership roles at Citi in UAE, Egypt, UK and Poland, including heading the lending business, innovation and distribution for Poland. Under her leadership Citi’s Poland business won multiple awards for the most innovative credit co brands and digital lending products.
